The Blue Ridge Parkway

The Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina has been a motorcycle destination we have wanted to ride for many years and we finally did it!  We stayed at a KOA on the Swannanoa River near the quaint town of Asheville NC. We rode south to Mt. Pisgah and hiked Chimney Rock and rode north to Mt. Mitchell, the highest peak east of the Mississippi. The curved roads and all the tunnels were unbelievable. And the vista views were remarkable! We went horseback riding in the Smokey Mountains and enjoyed the river at our campground. The pictures tell it all…

Hi Jules… We had a total blast on our road trip last year. Sallie is from Houston Texas and that is what brought us there, her high school reunion. The Blue Ridge Parkway was a dream of mine ever since we bought the bike in 2000. I really did feel your presence while in NC. Wished I could have found you then. So glad you are back in my life now. Can’t wait to talk again soon… Love Sue
