We enjoyed the heck out Wyoming, seeing the Tetons from the “backside” in Idaho traveling from Yellowstone over the Teton Pass/Scenic Byway.
Some of us enjoyed shopping the town square of Jackson Hole and getting the iconic picture taken with the elk antlers. Sallie, Ruth and AJ went to Snow Mountain and rode the Cowboy “Rollercoaster” down the mountain.
We went to a cowboy jamboree dinner show and then the opposite music experience of the Grand Tetons Music Festival, a chamber music concert and symphonic concert. It was exciting for Sallie to watch AJ and Sue experience The Moldau and Beethoven’s 5th for the first time. The festival draws amazing musicians from all over the US symphonies and universities. Some have been playing in the festival for 30 years.
Sallie, Ruth and AJ had an amazing Saturday experience of doing yoga on top of Bridger Mountain and then doing a 2 mile, 1,300 elevation hike to Rendevouz Mountain. It kicked our asses a little bit, but every struggle was worth it. Pushing minds and bodies out of the comfort zone can be a rewarding experience, especially if there are waffles waiting for you at the top of the mountain like there was for us at Corbet Cabin.
And of course, the Grand Tetons were fabulous! We took an hour boat ride on Jenny Lake, had lunch at the Jackson Lake Lodge. We ate outside with the most beautiful views!
Channel your inner mountain goat and climb the obstacles you have in your life with sure footing and grace.
